It was a short stay for the region’s teams in the NCAA tournament.
Only two New England programs made the field of 17 teams – America East champ Bryant and at-large Yale – and both were dispatched in the second round.
Bryant was beaten by Johns Hopkins, 22-8. Yale was competitive against Georgetown but fell, 19-17.
