SUDBURY, Mass. -- As the hosts of the New England Lacrosse Showcase last week, Massachusetts power Lincoln-Sudbury fielded a strong team.
Fundamental, but also detail-focused, the Warriors played to the end whistle in all of their contests. Coach Brian Vona’s squad went 3-1, with its lone loss coming at the hands of MIAA state champ St. John’s Prep in the opening round of the Varsity bracket.
A tight 9-8 result didn’t go LS’s way, but a mixture of rising seniors and juniors combined for exciting play on both sides of the ball. The heartbeat of the team was in the midfield, with workhorses in tow and show ponies on the sidelines.
That being said, a number of individual players stood out during the tournament.
