SUDBURY, Mass. -- The New England Lacrosse Showcase took place last week with teams from as far as New York making the drive over to Lincoln-Sudbury High School to participate.
The NELS tournament pits actual high school teams against one another without their graduated seniors. Essentially, it’s the first look at next spring’s lineup long before they’re ready for that season. Thus, the tournament itself is a series of lessons and chances for new players to take their first steps in roles that may become permanent next season.
BC High is in an interesting position after graduating a veritable platoon of seniors this past season. All told, nine different Eagles committed to play in college next spring led by Syracuse-bound Carter Rice.
