My Story: Bryn Carroll savors ‘breakthrough’ at Holy Cross

By Scott SouzaMay 7, 2020

Bryn Carroll (Hollis, N.H.) made her final season at Holy Cross a significant one, if an abbreviated one. (Holy Cross Athletics)

Bryn Carroll (Hollis, N.H.) said it was the mission of the seniors on the Holy Cross women’s lacrosse team to meld 43 players into one unit and tear down the class walls that had hampered the Crusaders in years past.

It was their achievements in that mission that may have set the stage for future generations of Crusaders to finish the journey the seniors never got to complete on their own.

Carroll said she wanted to make a difference on and off the field for a program that had not been able to break through in the Patriot League in recent seasons. The Crusaders won seven games her first year, six her second and struggled to a 4-12 record when she was a junior.
