MLL: Playoff rematch worth the wait for Corcoran, Cannons

Scott Corcoran’s long-sought homecoming has turned into one long road trip.

The Merrimack College and Austin Prep alumnus thought it was about time when he was traded to the Boston Cannons from the New York Lizards on March 4 after three Major League Lacrosse seasons.

But when the world started to be systematically canceled a week later due to the coronavirus health emergency, the promise of suiting up in a Quincy, Mass., stadium filled with friends, family and former college connections turned into an extended waiting game, and eventually a trip to Annapolis, Md., for this week’s Major League Lacrosse shotgun season.
