Mikey Herring’s lacrosse career continues to grow -- this time outside the lines.
New head coach James Purpura of the Virginia Military Institute announced his coaching staff for the 2021 season recently, and it includes Herring (Dedham, Mass.) as his offensive coordinator.
"I am excited to promote Mikey Herring as our offensive coordinator,” said Purpura in a statement. “Mikey has an impressive background as a national champion and has been around some great mentors.
"What was most impressive was his character and alignment with our vision and core values."
