The top four seeds have advanced to Thursday’s MIAA Division 1 girls final four. But examine the two matchups and you’ll see that they are as different as semifinals can be.
First up is top-seeded Walpole vs. No. 4 Wellesley, two teams who play in the same league, see each other annually and, basically, know each other like siblings.
The other match-up is No. 2 Westwood vs. No. 3 Lincoln-Sudbury, relative strangers who have both enjoyed success but employ polar-opposite styles of play.
The two winners will meet for the Division 1 championship. Here is a closer look at both matchups.
