The seedings are out for the four MIAA girls state tournaments and, predictably, not everyone is comprehending.
In Division 1, neither of the two teams that made it through the regular season unbeaten – Westwood (20-0) and Central Catholic (18-0-1) – was awarded the No. 1 seed for the tournament, through a new power ranking system that rewards both won-lost record and strength of schedule.
