An MIAA girls lacrosse season that began with uncertainty ended the way nearly all of them do -- with exciting playoffs and two champions crowned.
Westwood in Division 1 and Dover-Sherborn in Division 2 proved themselves to be the class of the state during this unconventional spring, whose biggest games were actually played in the summer due to the “wedge” season that produced a comparatively late start to spring sports.
Both title games were close-knit affairs and produced the drama that we sorely missed a year ago. Both showcased some of our state’s top players.
