As some leagues are in the process of crowning champions, the start of MIAA sectional tournaments is looming.
With the late start date, compressed time frame and regional schedules, this has not been a typical MIAA girls lacrosse season. Nobody would claim it has been.
“My biggest takeaway? That the season is short,” said Notre Dame Academy coach Meredith Frank McGinnis. “It feels as though it was a sprint just to get to where we are now.”
The MIAA will release brackets for its sectional tournaments later this week, with Division 1 and 2 state champions determined by early next month.
