The Terriers had surrendered six goals in seven minutes in a defeat to Harvard, blew a six goal lead to Bucknell, and other large advantages against Colgate and Navy. Instead of building upon its first playoff season a year ago, it looked like the Terriers couldn't survive the loss of 17 graduates.
Until the Army game.
