Most freshmen would have been intimidated. Most freshmen would have had every right to be.

Jimmy Freehill was in the ninth grade when he cracked the starting lineup on a stocked St. Sebastian’s team. A close defender, he was part of a unit that included upperclassmen Will Frisoli, who took his heralded game to Duke; Peter Blake, who just had a stellar abbreviated season with Penn; and Cam Martin, who’s now playing at Providence.

He was the young guy.

“We expected a lot of him and they really expected a lot of him,” said St. Seb’s coach Adam White. “We coached him hard and they coached him harder.”
