MAINE: Titles are twice as nice for Kennebunk, Cape Elizabeth

In Maine, there’s no one better.

Kennebunk High School secured its second straight Class A girls championship and second straight undefeated season on Saturday when it beat Yarmouth, 11-7, in the championship game at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.

It was the 32nd consecutive win for the team and fueled by six goals from Ruby Sliwkowski, the team’s Brown-committed junior standout in the midfield.

The Rams did all their damage in-state this season. In their 12-game regular-season slate, all against MPA opponents, their smallest margin of victory was five goals.
