MAINE: Can Cape Elizabeth come back even stronger?

Last spring, Cape Elizabeth (Maine) ran the table en route to adding its first Class A crown to a very crowded trophy case.

The return of Yale-bound senior midfielder Nic Boudreau, who missed the title run with a torn ACL, might be reason to start making more room in the display.

On the girls' side, Kennebunk is the defending champion in Class A and figures to be challenged again by Falmouth.

The boys and girls from Yarmouth (Class B) and Waynflete (Class C) swept state titles in 2021, and all four of those teams have key players back.
