Madison Ahern is proof positive that hard work pays off

When Notre Dame Academy coach Meredith McGinnis would leave practice, she’d always peek back and see the same thing.

Her star midfielder, Madison Ahern, would be working on her game, somehow, some way, doing anything and everything to get better.

Whether it was Ahern’s freshman, sophomore, junior or senior season, McGinnis could always count on that. Ahern, a tremendous talent to begin with, put in the effort all day, every day to improve.

As McGinnis said, “Can’t teach that, for sure.”
