Luke Szyluk continues to thrive against stronger, older competition

By Adam KurkjianJuly 11, 2019

Luke Szyluk is coming off a strong freshman year at Longmeadow High School.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — For the Kings Lacrosse 2022 club, it served as a nice summer pickup.

Luke Szyluk of Longmeadow, Mass., played with the West version of the Kings for most of the months leading up to this week's Naptown Challenge, but joined on with the Central group when it headed down to Annapolis.

It was a switch that the attackman was looking forward to.

"Yeah, I was working with the West, and then tried to switch it up, play with different people and new experiences,” Szyluk said. “Come out farther, better players, and try to build my skills and work with better people. Learning from other people helped me grow as a player."
