Looking back, looking ahead in D1 men’s lacrosse

Every season is a new beginning, with new stories to unfold before our eyes. There were plenty of questions for teams in New England as they each headed into the 2020 season.

On February 1, the start of the new season, some teams got a glimpse of how those questions would be answered.

Five New England schools – Providence, Boston University, Holy Cross, Merrimack, and Quinnipiac – played on the season’s opening day.

Here are some questions some of those teams faced heading into the season and what happened in the first game, as well as a big question facing another New England team that is preparing for its first game.
