Rosters are officially out for the first-ever Premier Lacrosse League season, which is set to begin June 1 and June 2 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
The league follows a tour-based model and has an exclusive media-rights agreement with NBC, offering a massive reach for the country's fastest growing sport. In all, the six teams feature nearly two dozen players who are either from New England or went to colleges within the region.
In addition to players, there are also several local coaching connections.
Chaos LC head coach Andy Towers is in the Connecticut Lacrosse Hall of Fame, plus had a star playing career at Brown University. One of his assistants is Ryan Curtis, the current head coach at NEPSAC program Westminster. Meanwhile, Archers LC assistant coach Brian Kavanagh is currently an assistant coach at the University of Vermont.
