During their youth lacrosse days, Molly Little (Tiverton, R.I.) and Nicki Wilkinson (Groton, Mass.) both showed a knack for scoring goals.
Now the pair of New England transplants spend their time at the University of Denver going all out to prevent them.
Wilkinson tallied 222 career goals in helping Groton-Dunstable (Mass.) to the state championship game her senior year, yet got the call on defense in her third game as a freshman with the Pioneers, and has been in the lineup ever since as a four-year starter in back. Little was a two-time team MVP at Tabor Academy (Mass.), one who scored seven goals as a freshman while at the University of Vermont and was an America East All-Rookie selection. She has 24 goals over two seasons upon transferring to Denver, then this season was named to the All-Big East Second Team as a defensive midfielder.
