WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Legacy Winter Showcase — one of the final winter showcases of the offseason — took place last weekend at the Union Point Sports Complex.
Even though the day started with some instructional clinics and breakout sessions, the end was what everyone was waiting for — live scrimmages.
Uncommitted players from the Class of ‘25 all gathered and played a series of games against one another on a domed field in front of 20 college coaches from across the region.
The games were played without face-offs — other than to start the game and halftime — to give both teams a chance to clear the ball after a goal and/or create offense on the break for the midfielders. As a result, the action was quick and the goals were plentiful.
