DEVENS, Mass. — The Legacy Tournament is always a huge showcase for club teams from New England.
In fact, there were so many Double-A teams that I had trouble seeing all of them, but one thing was clear — the clubs that sent their best teams cleaned house. Others still had decent showings, but didn’t top the standings.
However, these tournaments are more about the players getting recruiting looks than anything else, with high-profile squads from Laxachusetts, NH Tomahawks, 3D New England, the Fighting Clams and the N.E. Twisters on hand. I was also able to watch squads like Coyotes and 4 Leaf.
(It should be noted that not every club sent their best players, as several other tournaments were taking place at the same time, except the host team, Laxachusetts.)
