When Charlie Cave announced his commitment to the admissions process at Brown last month, he took his first steps down a path that’s been tread by players like him before, going from one strong lacrosse school to another.
Including the late Charlie Kenney.
Kenney grew into a Brown lacrosse captain after his accomplished Belmont Hills days, graduating in 2010 and going on to become a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps before he passed away from a seizure in 2012 at the age of 25.
At Belmont Hill, the Charles F. Kenney '06 Prize was established in 2013 by classmates, family, faculty, and friends to honor his memory. His family also sponsors a trip to World War II sites in Europe for faculty and students.
