Simultaneously one of the most underrated and celebrated prep school conferences in New England, the eight teams of the Lakes Region League have rosters filled with dozens of future Division 1, 2 and 3 players.
Their top players have gone from sophomores to seniors with last year’s lost spring, and this season will be their final chance to represent their institutions before heading to the colleges of their choice.
With several programs on the rise thanks to increased investment in the sport -- and an influx of talent from all over the country -- this is far from a two-team championship race. That being said, there won’t actually be a tournament or even a traditionally crowned regular-season champion.
