The distance between Lincoln-Sudbury (Mass.) Regional High School and Hobart and William and Smith Colleges is approximately 350 miles, and lately the route between them has seen plenty of traffic as a strong pipeline has been laid between the two prestigious programs.
On the heels of back-to-back state titles at L-S, Eric Holden became the first from Warrior nation to land in Geneva, N.Y., five years ago. He was followed the next year by three-time state champ Dan Ryan and the year after that by Cam Vona.
Last year it was Sudbury, Mass., native John Herlihy’s turn to step in and continue to strengthen the bond, proving his worth immediately. He scored in each of his first five collegiate games and finished third on the team with 12 goals – eight behind team leader Holden - in helping Hobart to a 4-1 record in the abbreviated 2020 campaign.
