Eighth-seeded Governor’s made the first big splash in the first Independent School League championship tournament, racing out to an early five-goal lead and scoring the game-winner with 7 seconds left to upset top-seeded Belmont Hill, 12-11, on Wednesday.
The team is joined in the semifinals by No. 3 Noble and Greenough, No. 4 St. Sebastian’s and No. 7 Thayer. Here are takeaways from all four quarterfinal games.
