With roughly three decades of history, Independent School League lacrosse is both storied and ripe with quality. In 2019, expect no different as Governor's Academy and Noble & Greenough enter as co-champions.
But such is life every year, the leading faces and star players of the ISL will have a new complexion.
Last year's leading scorer, Nobles attackman Hayden Cheek (Wellesley, Mass.), is now at Harvard. Former St. Sebastian's goalie Alex Gainey (Westwood, Mass.) is now at Johns Hopkins. Longtime Governor's standout Zach Ludd (Portsmouth, N.H.) now calls Ohio State home. The list goes on and on.
To preview those comings and goings, New England Lacrosse Journal has a full team-by-team preview below. It should be another great spring of ISL lacrosse.
