Senior attack Matt Ward (Shrewsbury, Mass.) leads Saint Anselm with 11 games in two games so far this season. (Jim Stankiewicz)
Saint Anselm has a plan, and a leader.
In order to get through the competitive Northeast-10 (where the team was ranked fourth in the preseason behind Le Moyne, Adelphi and Pace) and get back to the league championship game for the first time since 2018, the team will rely on its senior class, including attackman Matt Ward (Shrewsbury, Mass.).
Not only is Ward the leader on the field on the offensive side of the ball, he is a two-time captain that head coach Michael Sciamanna lauds for his maturity and leadership off the field.
