The city of champions added another title this summer.
The New England Command, the Boston representative in the first-year Women’s Professional Lacrosse League, won the league’s championship in July.
A couple of weeks later, the Boston Storm of the United Women’s Lacrosse League played in its first title game, where the team narrowly lost to the Philadelphia Force.
For both teams, while new, thanks to the status of the leagues, it was a leap for the sport locally.
