Last weekend, college lacrosse coaches from around the country gathered in Florida for the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association winter summit.
This event was not to be confused with the USA Lacrosse convention, which also has a coaching component, which is traditionally held in January. The event also had a player and parent component that provided educational tools for both of those groups to better work within the rules of college recruiting and that entire process.
One of the event's purposes is for coaches to connect and discuss tactics and tools of the trade. In-person and virtual seminars were available across a variety of topics.
The coaches also gathered at the winter summit to honor one another for their achievements last season and throughout their careers. To that end, the Tufts men’s lacrosse staff were honored as the top coaching staff in Division 3 for the Northeast region.
