How the next ISL season will be built from the net out

By Mike ZheDecember 8, 2021

Middlesex School senior Oran Gelinas is part of a talented crop of goalies in the ISL this year. (Middlesex School)

Oran Gelinas never set out to be a representation of how the pandemic has affected lacrosse in the Independent School League.

He just wanted to keep getting better as a goalie.

The Middlesex School senior is one of the top goaltenders in his age group, a guy who should be one of the best players in the ISL this spring and will join a strong program at Ohio State next year.

The anomaly is that he’s played in just two ISL games in his career. After his sophomore season was wiped out by the pandemic, Middlesex only played two regular-season games last spring before protocol issues shut the season down.
