In their last act as Sacred Heart-Greenwich lacrosse players, the team’s seven seniors traded touches with the Prep Cup trophy.
The trip up to Brookline, Mass., from Greenwich, Conn., was a relatively modest one, coming at the end of a season that saw the Tigers finish with a 15-3 record, with 10 of those games coming against nationally-ranked teams.
The event hosted by Dexter Southfield is a relatively new one for a spring sport that doesn’t crown a NEPSAC champion.
Instead, eight top programs from outside the Independent School League and Founders League gathered for a three-round weekend.
