Since MIAA girls lacrosse returned following the lost season of 2020, a handful of teams have established themselves as annual contenders in Division 1.
Westwood has won the last two titles. Franklin missed out on the 2021 title by a single goal. Lincoln-Sudbury was a final four team last year and owns the No. 1 seed this year.
Not terribly surprisingly, all three of those teams are part of the D-1 semifinals, which will be played later today.
Then there’s Reading Memorial.
