The cliché is that good things come to those who wait. Ridgefield (Conn.) High School senior goalie Dylan Penn is the latest example that shows endurance and persistence pay off.
After a year of uncertainty and exploring all of his options, Penn recently committed to play at Division 1 Hobart, where he will join his twin brother, Brandon.
“I’ve learned that I’m patient (and) that I’ll get what I deserve," he said. "I’m not super-hard on myself. I don’t need to get down on myself. I have a confident mentality and I think my confidence will help me play at the highest level.”
When Penn began the recruiting process, he said the education aspect was important to him, wanting to compete at a high level in college lacrosse as well as pursue a high level of academics.
