When it was clear that Molly Driscoll had become good enough at lacrosse to have a wide range of college choices at the Division 1 level, her coaches, friends and supporters started teasing her about her southern visits, noting her red hair and pale skin.
“We’d remind her to pack extra sunscreen,” said Carla Farkes, her coach at Mass Elite.
As it turned out, Driscoll won’t need extra sunscreen — at least not year-round.
The Brooks School junior, who’ll be one of the top players in the Independent School League this spring, committed to join reigning NCAA champion Boston College, ensuring family and fans will get to watch her for years.
