Yale has experienced an ascension these last 13 years, since finishing the 2009 season with a record of 5-8.
In 2015, the Bulldogs went 11-5 and won the Ivy League tournament. In 2018, they went 17-3 (undefeated in conference play) and won the NCAA championship.
At the heart of Yale’s success has been the building of culture and team identity. It became a team that wins between the lines, on the ride and with grit. And part of that identity has been elite play at attack.
From Ben Reeves to Jackson Morrill to Matt Brandau, it’s been special. Now, someone else has emerged as a leader at the position.
