FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Nobody really seemed to know who the best team in Class LL really was. But at the conclusion of Sunday's championship game, there was no doubt left.
Top-seeded Fairfield Prep was too deep, too skilled, and too good in every spot to be considered anything but the best team. There’s really no room for argument. The Jesuits beat every challenger in the state of Connecticut and will finish with a high national ranking.
The 2024 season saw the expansion of the class system in Connecticut, increasing from three divisions to four. The largest of the four divisions was the newly-created Class LL.
That division included the blue bloods of Connecticut lacrosse history and was immediately picked to be the most hotly contested this year.
