Franklin is 13-0 after a 21-1 win against Attleboro this week and has been a consistent presence in the MIAA Division 1 conversation since the start of the season.
Head coach Lou Verrochi has built a team that thrives on creativity on offense and intensity on defense. As the team readies for the MIAA tournament, a look back on its season illuminates its potential in the playoffs.
“We’ve just been blessed with a great youth program,” said Verrochi. “(We have) great youth coaches and kids that have made a commitment to the school. I polled my kids a couple of years ago and asked them who's playing club (lacrosse), and of those 26 kids, 24 were playing on a club team.
“So, the dedication is there and the kids just want to be the best that they can be. A lot of credit has to go to the youth coaches; I'm just reaping the rewards of those kids.”
