John Todd is the winningest coach in MIAA history. Last season he earned his 500th career victory, and he has guided Hingham High School to four state titles.
Yet Todd, who has roamed the Harbormen sidelines for over 30 seasons, might be on the hot seat thanks to his latest All-American, Charlie Packard.
“I don’t necessarily call it a threat, but I call it an inquiry,” Todd said. “He’s like, ‘I’ve got this, I’ve got four years of college, I’ve got probably grad school.’
"Then he’ll look me straight in the eye and go, ‘How long are you sticking around? I’m taking over when you step aside.’”
