When you have a historically prolific scorer and a once-in-a-generational talent, how exactly do you go about building a winning team around her?
That is the dilemma for Michelle Roach, coach of the Peabody Veterans (Mass.) High School girls lacrosse program.
Last spring, in her junior season, midfielder Brooke Lomasney broke Peabody’s scoring record (set in 2017 by Lauren Wolff). She finished the season with career numbers of 240 goals and 144 assists.
Committed to play for Stonehill College after graduating in the spring, Lomasney aims to add some serious numbers on those totals.
