Premier Lacrosse League president Paul Rabil was recently on an Inside Lacrosse podcast with CEO Terry Foy reflecting on 2023 and, of course, the topic of assigning teams to home cities was discussed.
Foy said the Cannons going to Boston was a no-brainer, and Rabil shared that the biggest challenge about Boston was the venue.
“You want to ideally find a venue that has been refurbished, modernized, (and provides) a great experience for fans and players,” he said, “and 10,000 seats, call it.”
The schedule for the 2024 season – including venues – was revealed on New Year’s Day, so fans now know that the Cannons will play at Harvard Stadium. But there were a number of potential venues in play.
