SUDBURY, Mass. – After a year off, I returned to one of the most unique tournaments in the region — the New England Lacrosse Showcase.
NELS is a final chance for high school teams to unite after their season and compete without their graduated seniors. It is one of the few events to eschew club teams, welcoming schools from New England (sans their coaches to comply with MIAA rules) and beyond to compete against one another. While the regional players compete without their coaches, teams from as far as Washington state and top-rated teams from New Jersey play with their full complement, testing themselves against the best teams from New England.
The past couple days, I spotlighted the teams from Darien, Conn., and St. John's Prep who were at NELS. Today, we'll look at another MIAA power — Hingham.
The players that stood out are listed with their current class status. So, players who just completed their junior seasons are listed as seniors. College commitments are included where applicable.
