Erin Walsh hopes. Even in the face of mounting reports in late March that painted a bleak outlook for spring high school lacrosse seasons, she kept practicing in her backyard and going on runs to stay in shape.

There wasn’t a high school team in Massachusetts that wasn’t looking forward to its season before the spread of the COVID-19 disease that led state organizations to postpone the starts to seasons, hoping to squeeze in abbreviated campaigns at some point.

season.
