Tom Dalicandro knows he should have known better than to get his hopes up about seeing the vision of a Senior Classic lacrosse tournament for all those players across Massachusetts who missed out on their final high school season come to fruition this summer.
He just couldn’t help it.
“I think it was really going to be special,” the Concord-Carlisle coach wistfully said Tuesday, hours after the Eastern Mass. Lacrosse Coaches Association officially canceled the event scheduled for July 19-20 due to coronavirus restrictions.
