Once more unto the breach head the Hansen sisters this spring.
Last year — with Elle and Jane Hansen representing the primary threats on offense — Cohasset High School won the program’s first Massachusetts Division 2 state title by defeating Walpole, 14-6, in the championship game.
As a junior in 2017, Elle finished with 80 goals and 50 assists and became the program’s all-time leading scorer. Jane, a sophomore last year, led the team in scoring with 94 goals and 52 assists.
Family patriarch Tom Hansen, who runs the girls youth lacrosse program in town, shed some light on how that level of scoring unfolded between his two daughters in 2017.
