It makes sense that Jake Dulac’s favorite place on the UMass campus is Garber Field.
Whether as a close defenseman or long-stick midfielder, the senior has not missed one game in his Minutemen career. His junior year was his most productive, starting in all 14 games at close defense and earning career highs in groundballs (24) and caused turnovers (seven).
Dulac’s dad initially got him interested in the sport. The fast-paced action and physicality kept Jake playing; now, it’s the relationships with his teammates that drives him, and the UMass history and tradition that inspires him.
We caught up with him recently.
