In the first collegiate draft in Connecticut Hammerheads history, the first-year franchise seemed to have a plan in place. Of the seven selections the team made, five came from schools in New England, including two players from Yale.
Additionally, three of the team’s selections were players from Connecticut, including defensive midfielder Michael Brown (Wilton, Conn.). The versatile All-American out of Brown University played in all five of Connecticut’s 2020 COVID-shortened regular-season games, picking up eleven ground balls.
Brown said he loved the time he spent in Rhode Island, but hoped to continue his lacrosse career where it began, in Connecticut.
