Sometimes, a path to college lacrosse starts getting laid at an early age.
Graham Straface (Stow, Mass.) had the benefit of being born into a lacrosse family. Her dad, Greg, played at Ohio University. Six other relatives have also played, or are playing, at the Division 1 level, including cousins Aine and Maeve Williams (Hingham, Mass.) at Colorado.
Beyond that, her mother is an alumnus of Quinnipiac, a school Graham, now a junior attack at Nashoba Regional (Mass.) High School, first visited when she was little.
“Even before the recruiting process started, I knew I wanted to go to Quinnipiac,” she said.
