Rachel Hall and Boston College fired the shot heard ‘round the college lacrosse world on Friday afternoon.
Or, more accurately, stopped the shots.
The fourth-ranked Eagles handed No. 1 North Carolina its first loss of the season in the NCAA semifinals in Towson, Md., overcoming an early 3-1 deficit to win, 11-10, and reach the national championship game for the fourth straight season.
Hall, a junior who transferred in from Oregon two years ago, finished with 11 stops, including some huge ones late as UNC threatened to climb back in the game with a late rally.
