On this week’s episode of New England Lacrosse Journal’s “Chasing The Goal” podcast, hosts Kyle Devitte and Jack Piatelli talk with new Dartmouth head coach Sean Kirwan.
A 2012 Tufts University graduate, and an NCAA champion as a senior in 2012. Kirwan spent the last seven seasons as the offensive coordinator at Virginia, where he helped lead the Cavaliers to national championships in 2019 and 2021, along with three final four appearances and a pair of ACC titles.
Under Kirwan, UVA’s offense ranked among the top three nationally in goals per game four different times. He was named the 2021 IMLCA Assistant Coach of the Year.
Prior to UVA he spent two seasons as an assistant at Brown, helping that program reach the final four. He accepted the Dartmouth head coaching position in June of 2023 and recently completed his first fall ball campaign with the team.
