On this week’s episode of New England Lacrosse Journal’s “Chasing The Goal” podcast, hosts Kyle Devitte and Jack Piatelli were joined by Albany Firewolves player and NXT VP of events Brett Manney.
Manney played in college at Delaware before moving on to play in the MLL for the Ohio Machine. He was drafted by the New England Black Wolves and is currently the longest-tenured member of the franchise that has since moved to Albany, N.Y.
Manney was also involved in the broadcast world and called a number of games for the MLL before that organization’s dissolution. Manney also represented Team USA in 2015, serving as the assistant captain.
Manney joined NXT over a decade ago and has helped to build one of the most successful programs and events in Pennsylvania. On this podcast, he talks about the struggles, and triumphs, of working in the lacrosse events industry and his future as a member of the Firewolves.
